From the first time we connected on Instagram, Neat Rentals had my attention. With such a unique and stylish collection of items, it was clear that this fresh and forward-thinking rental company was about to make waves in the Edmonton wedding industry. We had the pleasure of meeting the team at our most recent Yegwed vendor social in September, when they curated a killer seating area that definitely turned heads among wedding vendors. It’s my absolute pleasure to introduce you to the helpful, fun team behind Neat Rentals. Enjoy!
Tell us about the Neat Rentals team and what made you choose this path!
Nicole and Paula (two of our owners) were married last year in Palm Springs. Down in Southern California there were tons of incredible rental options for stylish, mid-century and boho-glam inspired weddings and events. We really wanted Edmontonians to have access to great pieces of furniture and props that reflect the styles that you can find in LA, Brooklyn and other trendsetting cities. Candyce, who is Nicole’s sister, and her husband Matt, a designer, were all over the idea and Neat Rentals was born. It’s pretty incredible to be in business with family and we all bring our own skills and ideas to the table.
What inspires you when it comes to choosing pieces for your collection?
We’re design junkies and spend an unreasonably huge amount of time scouring design publications and social media to see what design trends are around the corner. We love the mid century modern revival and like to add industrial twists to our looks. We either carefully source or hand-make (or build) all of our products and try to ensure that we have lots of pieces that work well together so that clients can really make their events unique and original.
Tell us about your favourite edmonton couples to work with…
We love working with couples who are going for something a little out-of-the-ordinary for their weddings. There are so many creative Edmontonians who are willing to try something new, like a Persian rug aisle runner, a rad vintage seating area, or mix-and-match ceremony seating. We find that adding unique elements can really make weddings memorable so we’re always excited when clients go for it!
