What do you get when you mix two ladies in love, a picnic in Hawrelak Park and a few sweet retro-inspired touches? This adorable engagement session, that’s what!
Photographer Sharyar Memon of Box Cube Photography did an incredible job capturing the joy and love that Rita-Mae and Darlene share. The couple shared a bit of their story with us – here’s how the proposal happened…
“It was very sweet… on Valentine’s Day, Dar had come home very sick. I had made a beautiful steak dinner and decorated for the evening. She was in awe and said ‘Rita-Mae if I had a ring, I’d ask you to marry me right now.’ I said, ‘Hunny I’d say yes even if it was a twist tie!” She then whispered and asked my son if we had any twist ties… we didn’t – but we had some craft wire, so he made me a ring in the shape of a flower. Then, during dinner, Dar got on one knee and stated, ‘Rita-Mae, if you love me like this you’ll love me for always… will you marry me?” I – of course – said yes!”
Stay tuned… we’ll be sharing their wedding images soon! For now, we hope you love their engagement shoot as much as we do!
