If you’ve been hanging around here for the last little while it would have been impossible to ignore the biggest change yegwed has seen since our very first post in July 2014 – we redesigned the website and re-launched it last Tuesday with a new look! We are eager to hear what you think of the new site and hope that we will be able to serve you better with all of the new bells and whistles.
To celebrate our re-launch and the joy of being part of the Edmonton wedding industry, last week we held a second Yegwed Vendor Social for our wedding vendor friends (you can see a recap of the first event here). It was an absolute blast and we are so grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate and make new friends. Here are some of the highlights of the Social…
We had a team of awesome vendors come together to make the party a reality and I couldn’t be happier with all of the work that was contributed. First of all, I was so pleased to host the event at an exciting new venue: Studio 96. Nestled just north of downtown Edmonton, this venue is central, unique and full of character.
Next, we had decor elements from a few different people: Something Beautiful Weddings helped with the backdrop and the execution of the event, while Look Events provided a beautiful drink table with some of their classy and unique pieces. We also had a seating area provided by Neat Rentals, a forward-thinking rental company with some very unique pieces. Anika Loewen Design created the cutest signage, and the amazing Edison bulb cafe lights were provided by Cory Christopher.
Once again, Ready Set Booth was on hand with their epic photo booth, which was well used and enjoyed throughout the night. We also had BYOB – Book Your Own Bartender on hand serving drinks. Absolutely divine desserts were provided by both Whimsical Cake Studio and Over The Top Cakes.
Last but certainly not least, the amazing Cheryl from Aeris Photography was on hand to capture all of these photos and, if I’m being honest, she helped with a lot more than that (read: climbing ladders to hang Café lighting…). I am loving all of the photos from the event and, as always, Cheryl is an absolute pleasure to work with.
A HUGE ‘thank you’ to everyone for their contributions!
As all of you planning a wedding can attest to, a celebration is only as good as the guests, and we can’t thank the Edmonton wedding community enough for coming out in full force. I saw so many connections being made and I am tickled pink to see so much excitement, support and passion in one room. You guys are amazing and I feel privileged to be surrounded by so many positive, forward thinking individuals. You are all rock stars in my eyes!
If you’re a wedding vendor looking at this post and wishing you could have been involved, you are so invited to join the Yegwed Vendor Community. It’s as simple as signing up here. We would love to meet you – let’s be friends!
