Here’s where the inspiration for this shoot came from…
‘This bridal shoot is inspired by the classic novel Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll – I was particularly drawn to Alice’s independence and curiosity, and always thought that she would be a very cool girl to become friends with – she would be both glamorous and down-to-earth. Imagine Alice grows up into a beautiful, sophisticated young woman and meets her white knight. They tie the knot in a whimsical woods and floral inspired outdoor ceremony and sit down to an elegant high tea reception.
As a vendor team we worked on the concepts of grand and dainty, exotic, colorful, and rustic combined. Lovesky Design Inc. designed the stationary for this shoot – Kelly incorporated a few of the fun on-trend details of the season, such as pastels, watercolor, floral and glitter accents. Our hair and makeup artist, Emily Phung with Blushed Beaute, created a look that mirrored the soft pastel pinks of the stationary, paired with with a very elegant and modern up-do. The furniture design and details, provided by Rustic Charm Design and Signs, added to the dream-like quality of a beautiful venue in the woods. The sweetheart table and vintage door backdrop hint at the Alice In Wonderland inspiration such as the keyhole and clock themes in the original book. To top it all off, the floral bouquet and table piece created by Two Buds Floral Artistry, captured the whimsical nature of this shoot. With the bright jewel tones mixed with pastels, the bouquet looked like it could have been picked in a field of wildflowers, which is perfectly Alice!’
