how did you meet?
We met through mutual friends at a concert
what was the proposal like?
We were away in British Columbia camping. It was a gorgeous day, I turned around and there he was with a beautiful ring asking me to marry him. I did NOT see it coming.
Trevor: You can wait a very long time for the “perfect” moment to propose, but I had the perfect woman so why wait? While attempting to celebrate I popped champagne and hit her with the cork!
tell us about the planning process!
Honestly, if I didn’t have Jenna (my wedding planner from Cocktails and Details) I don’t know what I would have done. Planning a wedding for 300 people is insane and having a professional makes ALL the difference.
was there anything you were worried wouldn’t work, but turned out awesome?
Getting married outside is always stressful, the weather in Edmonton is so unpredictable. Luckily, it was absolutely beautiful outside and everything worked out perfectly.
Trevor: Even the timing of the train blowing the whistle at the perfect moment
got any advice for someone planning an edmonton wedding?
USE A WEDDING PLANNER! It’s like moving without movers. It’s exhausting, there are so many details, long hours and you really don’t even know where to start. I’m an acupuncturist and have my own business with clients who need my full attention, I really didn’t have the time to devote to the wedding. Jenna was extremely organized and kept me on track. It was so nice having options and just saying, this, this and this. She took all of the stress out of the planning process so I could focus on my company.
