after a long distance relationship, a romantic proposal in San Francisco, and the birth of their son, Tracy and Dominic tied the knot at Fort Edmonton Park – and they did it in style. with all sorts of thoughtful touches, and decor curated by the bride, this couple executed a vintage-inspired ‘follow your heart’ theme, and a day that focused on their family and guests. photographer Barbara Rahal was on hand to capture the day, and shared these photos with us. it was hard to narrow down photos to include in this post, because there were so many great photos, the couple is so clearly in love, and the details throughout the day were absolutely exquisite.
things we love:
– that dress! talk about an absolute show-stopper! Tracy’s gold Tadashi Shoji dress makes us question the white wedding dress tradition altogether. it’s a perfect option for showing off the bride’s silhouette, and looks fantastic paired with the black fascinator and birdcage veil.
– family-focused. Barbara Rahal did a fantastic job of catching so many moments where Tracy & Dominic’s son is front and centre on their wedding day. we love that he was at the altar as his parents said their vows… plus, who can resist a toddler in a three-piece suit!?
– the venue – Fort Edmonton Park is always a stunning backdrop for a wedding ceremony or reception, and for this unique wedding, the venue was perfect for both. with an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, the park gave the best of both worlds. Hotel Selkirk made a fitting location for their vintage-inspired reception, with very little extra decor needed.
