today’s engagement photos and story was submitted by this gorgeous lady in the red dress, Heather. she and her love opted for a beautiful river valley engagement session with the talented Jill Coursen, before they tied the knot on a snowy winter day and celebrated with a vintage-inspired wedding at the Fantasyland Hotel.
here’s a little more of their story, as told by Heather…
“From day one, I knew Ryan was the guy for me. Neither of us ever thought we would meet our significant other online. After a month of dating, it was snowing in the middle of the night as I dropped off Ryan at the airport to go visit his family in the states. As he was rolling his suitcase away he said, ‘I love you, Heather.’ I was like, ‘I love you too!’. After that, I knew our relationship was something of romance. We quickly fell in love and we got in engaged in June 2014.
“Our engagement story is quirky and cute. One night we were discussing getting engaged and we had looked at rings before. Ryan told me to choose which ring I wanted. All excited I went to the jewelry store and chose my engagement ring. Shortly thereafter, Ryan went and picked it up. He had it for a couple days and I knew it. I was anxious, wondering when he was going to propose.
“One morning before we were to meet my parents for breakfast at Hotel MacDonald, I was sitting on our bed. Ryan then got on one knee and said ‘Heather, I love you more than anything, you are really special to me…will you marry me?’ I said ‘Yes!!’ and we both cried.
“He is my best friend and twin soul. We are so similar in our personalities and our sense of humour. It’s nice to feel like you have met and are being married to your best friend. He makes me feel like anything is possible. Being married to Ryan, is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I am so blessed to have someone who loves and cares for me so much.”
