yegwed vendor social – networking event recap

edmonton wedding vendor networking event

i didn’t take many snaps of the event, but i did get this one pic as the party was just getting started!

last night we had the absolute privilege of hosting a networking event for wedding professionals at The Parlour Italian Kitchen & Bar. as this was our first event ever, we weren’t quite sure what to expect… first of all, we did not think that we were going to pack out the biggest event room at The Parlour! however, the wedding vendors on our mailing list, as well as those who have been most involved in supporting yegwed were invited first, and as it turned out – we sold out of all of the tickets in FOUR DAYS… before we even had a chance to make it public or put the event on social media. we can’t thank everyone enough for their excitement and support for yegwed, and the eagerness to be involved in different ways – including coming to our very first networking event. i’ve said it before, and i will likely say it about a million times in the future: you rock, edmonton!

first of all, i must say that the food and service at The Parlour was awesome. if you haven’t been, be sure to check this fab downtown restaurant out. it is an absolutely gorgeous brick building with a bit of rustic-meets-modern decor. it was captured pretty perfectly in this engagement session, and i know that it has also been used for weddings. i would definitely recommend it for these purposes, as well as a simply great date night for fab food and drinks.

next, i must mention that Ready Set Booth volunteered their services for our event and it was the perfect thing to keep everyone laughing and connecting. we’re going to feature them in a their own post in the next few days, but let me just tell you the booth was definitely a hit!

last but not least, the party wouldn’t be even worth mentioning if it weren’t for all of the amazing, talented and (most importantly) very kind wedding vendors in edmonton. we had a great mix of industry experience levels and all sorts of vendors from photographers, makeup artists and DJs to videographers, rental companies and wedding planners… it was easy to see that conversations were flowing naturally and that is definitely a credit to the friendly and welcoming nature of all of the edmonton wedding vendors that were present.
