On Sunday, March 8, Bliss Bridal Show took over the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel West Edmonton. I headed down to the show in the late afternoon to see what was on offer, and today I’m sharing with you a few highlights from the show.
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel West Edmonton
First I’d like to mention the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel. It is a newly-renovated and very classy venue with a lot of potential for weddings. My first stop at the show was the Doubletree by Hilton booth, where I chatted with a really friendly staff member named Melanie. Their up-to-date booth showed that they have their finger on the pulse of bridal trends, with decor that included some absolutely lush and feminine paper flowers. If you are looking for a hotel to host your Edmonton wedding, the Doubletree by Hilton should definitely be on your shortlist.
Next, I met Bonnie from Luxe Decor and Event Rentals. I had noticed their decor on the way into the show where there was a beautiful rustic backdrop which gave a stunning first impression for the show. However that was only a small taste of what Luxe has to offer – their booth was incredible. From sparkling bling backdrops to antique bone china table settings, Luxe certainly knows what’s hot in today’s wedding market. Bonnie was so knowledgeable and has lots of ideas for inventive wedding rentals and decor. I would highly recommend having a look at some of their inventory and rentals!
I love when I finally get to meet someone who I’ve been tweeting with and checking out on social media… in person! This was the case with Joanne of Joanne Hobbs Photography. I didn’t get a chance to take a closer photo of her work, but I was happy to meet her in person and I really look forward to sharing some of her work on yegwed.com. She is just as friendly in real life as she is on social media, and I would certainly recommend having a look at her wedding photography portfolio.
A new company that I’ve only just heard of – but I am so excited about – is Shabby 2 Chic Wedding Rentals. The owner has an incredibly unique collection of decor that fits a shabby chic, romantic look with a bit of french class. With all of her items in such a niche style, couples will be able to go right to Pam when they know what they want and walk away with unique decor items that aren’t available anywhere else. I absolutely love her white lanterns, cast iron orbs and her collection of silk succulents. She also has a number of beautiful white chandeliers. Check out their website and check out the Shabby 2 Chic facebook page for more of what this great new company has to offer.
