last week, edmonton wedding planner jennifer kinal of Fresh Look Event Management visited Breakfast Television Edmonton with two dynamic and unique tablescapes. a host of edmonton wedding vendors came together to bring jennifer’s designs to reality, and the results were featured in two segments on BT Edmonton. (view the segments here and here!)
it’s truly an honor to showcase Crystal.Puim.Photography‘s fantastic images of both segments, along with a bit of the story behind each design theme, as described by jennifer kinal herself. our favourite part? we’re LOVING the dessert tables on both of these designs… gimme some of that naked cake! no, wait, gimme the petit fours… okay, scratch that – we want one of everything. in all seriousness, both designs offer a wealth of inspiration for style-savvy edmonton couples who want to take their wedding decor to the next level (while sourcing everything from local businesses, of course!).
theme one: Chanel-inspired in black & white
‘when i think of Chanel, i think of luxurious simplicity and everlasting elegance. i wanted to really convey this in our table décor by using black and white in classic and elegant ways. the décor itself is fairly simplistic; a few details have been added for extra ‘punch’ such as the sequin sleeves on the chairs. we have added anemone to the florals because it is the perfect flower that embodies the black and white but also is so beautiful and elegant. the table was layered with black and white, starting with the white patterned linen, to the mirrored charger, followed by a black charger. even the napkins had extra detailing by the addition of a lace ribbon. black wine goblets were used, which really sets this table apart. for favors we had mini champagne bottles with custom favor tags created. for stationery we kept the entire design flowing from beginning to end, showcasing the invitation that coordinated with the favor tags, menu, table numbers and dessert table tent cards. the dessert table is a hit! this gives your guests a little more options with the choice of some very elegant and delicious desserts. it is all about drawing your guests into the experience.’
theme two: wedding in the woods
‘the picture of romance. this theme was all about bringing the woods to you, it doesn’t matter if it is an indoor banquet hall or outdoors in the woods. you can use elements that tie that feeling of being outdoors into your decor to evoke that feeling. we used a wooden log as a centrepiece which also ensures that each is unique, as well as wooden chargers, a lot of white and a hint of coral. the wedding stationery and invitations were coordinated from beginning to end and showcased how you can personalize your invites to carry on your theme. the naked cake was a must for this decor since it gives a very authentic feeling and worked really well with the theme. we created ‘his & hers’ signature cocktails, another great way to personalize the wedding and bring in a little fun for yourself and your guests. you can have this as your favourite drink or a drink that works with your colours. favors are a great way to allow your guests to take home something special that reminds them of your wedding, and what better gift to give than a potted succulent?’
vendor love! these are the talented creatives behind these two stunning designs… show them some love! be sure to click through to their sites, or to tell them what you think on twitter (or in the comments!).
